Canadian
Computer Reseller
PC IMAGEWARE COURTS VARS.
PC Imageware Corp. of Toronto has
begun testing the channel waters with a new
program tailored to incite VARs and storefront
resellers to sell Asset Minder Pro, the company's
new asset tracking software, due out in the third
quarter.
Company president Nick Francis
said the Asset Minders program will give VARs the
opportunity to get in on the ground level in what
he describes as a "huge market". Asset
Minder Pro is being targeted to small to mid-size
businesses with between 15 to 300 employees, an
area of the market where asset management
solutions costs can be prohibitive, Francis said.
The company is looking to sign as
many as 10 VARs for each of Canada's larger city
centres and is offering 25 per cent margins on
product sales. Francis said the company needs
VARs with a commercial customer base and
experience in custom report writing, consulting
and training services. Each sale is expected to
generate at least three days worth of consulting
work, according to Francis.
VARs are charged $1200 for an
Asset Minder Pro start-up package that includes
two copies each of the server and workstation
version for resale, and demo copies. The program
includes all the traditional incentives,
including sales leads and support.
Asset Minder Pro has an SRP of
$399 for the server version and $199 for the
workstation version. Interested VARs can contact
the company toll free at (888)462-4392 or at www.pci-corp.com.
