Toronto-based PC Imageware Corp. has launched Asset Minder Pro, a Windows 95 and NT
workstation-compatible program for asset tracking aimed at aiding network planning, system maintenance and cost control.

Asset Minder is designed to track assets throughout their entire life cycle, with the goal of maximizing hardware and software utilization, reducing equipment costs and decreasing downtime. It integrates Internet connectivity, document imaging, a "location-centric" database and bar coding capabilities into one program.

Asset Minder can supply asset lists by department, location, model or vendor. Import filters allow existing data to be transferred into Asset Minder Pro, while exporting filters allow for transfers to other applications for capital depreciation, tax write-offs or to ensure adequate insurance coverage. The product also features pop-up alarms to assure maintenance schedules are met, and e-mail and Internet buttons, which allow users to send messages or access web pages from within Asset Minder.

Asset Minder Pro Server, which includes the administrator and a single licence, is priced
at $399. Additional workstation licences are $199.
